Judging others, particularly fellow Christians, is addressed in the Bible with a call for caution and humility. In Matthew 7:1-2, Jesus teaches, “Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.”

This passage encourages believers to be mindful of their own faults and to approach others with grace and understanding. However, the Bible also speaks to the importance of accountability within the Christian community. In Galatians 6:1, it is written: “Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.”

The emphasis here is on restoration and helping one another grow in faith, rather than harsh judgment. Christians are called to support each other in love, offering guidance and correction with gentleness and humility.

In all things, let love and compassion guide your interactions with others.
