Indeed, the Bible contains passages that have been interpreted in various ways throughout history. Regarding the “four corners” of the Earth, this phrase appears in the Book of Isaiah: “He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; he will assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four corners of the earth” (Isaiah 11:12, NIV). This is generally understood as a figurative expression, representing the whole Earth or the farthest reaches of the world.
As for the creation order, according to Genesis, the Earth was created before the sun. Genesis 1:1-2 describes the initial creation of the heavens and the Earth, and then verses 3-5 describe the creation of light. It is on the fourth day, in Genesis 1:14-19, that the sun, moon, and stars are created to govern the day and night. This sequence reflects the theological and literary structure of the creation account rather than a scientific explanation.
