Heavenly Father,

I come before You today, acknowledging my weaknesses and the temptations that so easily entangle. In Your infinite wisdom, You have shown us the paths that lead away from You—pride, envy, wrath, gluttony, lust, sloth, and greed. I pray for Your guidance and strength to resist these sins that separate us from Your love and grace.

Lord, in humility, I ask You to guard my heart against pride, reminding me that all I have and all I am is a gift from You. Help me to see others with Your eyes, preventing envy from taking root in my heart. Teach me to respond to situations and others with patience and understanding, avoiding the pitfalls of wrath.

Guide my desires, that I may honor You with my body and mind, keeping away from gluttony and lust. Encourage me in diligence and purpose, that sloth finds no place in my life. And lead me in generosity, to use what You have given me for the good of others, not falling into greed.

In the face of these temptations, I cling to Your Word and Your promises. For it is written, “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it” (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Thank You for Your mercy and forgiveness, knowing that when we fail, You are there to lift us up. Help me to walk in Your ways, to live a life that reflects Your love and holiness.
