The concept of reward in hell is not supported by biblical teachings. Hell is described in the Bible not as a place of reward but as a place of punishment and separation from God. The nature of hell is often discussed in terms of eternal fire, weeping, and gnashing of teeth, signifying profound suffering and regret.

Matthew 25:41 provides insight into the destiny of those who are apart from God, stating, “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.’” This verse clarifies that hell was originally prepared for the devil and his angels, not as a place of reward but as a place of eternal punishment.

Furthermore, Revelation 20:10 describes the fate of the devil, who deceives, stating, “The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.” This indicates that there is no reward for Satan or his followers in hell; rather, it is a place of perpetual torment.

The overarching message of the Bible encourages repentance, righteousness, and reconciliation with God through faith in Jesus Christ to avoid such an eternal separation from God. It emphasizes God’s desire for all to come to repentance and knowledge of the truth to receive eternal life, as stated in 1 Timothy 2:4, “who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
