The question of God’s existence and His ways of revealing Himself to humanity is one that has been contemplated through the ages. The Bible presents a narrative where God’s presence and reality are made known through creation, His interactions with humanity, and ultimately, through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In Romans 1:20, it is written, “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.” This verse suggests that God’s existence and attributes can be perceived in the world around us, pointing to a creator who is both powerful and divine.

Moreover, the Bible describes how God has chosen to reveal Himself in various ways throughout history, including through His word (the Bible), prophets, miracles, and most significantly, through Jesus Christ. Hebrews 1:1-2 states, “In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom also He made the universe.” Jesus is presented as the ultimate revelation of God’s character and love for humanity.

God desires a relationship with us that is based on faith, which Hebrews 11:1 describes as “confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” The biblical narrative suggests that faith is not simply about the absence of doubt but involves trust and confidence in God’s character and promises, even when not all questions are fully answered.

The New Testament, especially, emphasizes that God has made the way to Him clear through Jesus. John 14:6 records Jesus saying, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” This statement points to the clarity of God’s invitation to know Him and find eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ.

God’s desire for a relationship with each person is characterized by love, patience, and grace, inviting individuals to seek Him, with the promise that those who genuinely seek Him will find Him. In Jeremiah 29:13, God declares, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” This suggests that a sincere quest for truth and understanding about God will lead to a meaningful discovery of His presence and reality.
